Well done boys. Coach's report on the U12's page. Welcome to the UK Jake. St Albans Centurions welcome their latest Aussie signing, Jake McLaughlin to the club. Tony Bottomley, 1st team manager said " Jake arrived in the UK on Wednesday after a 28 hour flight ..... and went straight to training, putting in a good one and a half hour session. Jake plays second row or number 8 and should be getting his first run out for the Cents when our season starts on 7th May with our game at the Roosters." Jake, from Tamworth, New South Wales comes to the club after being recommended to us by our ex coach and club 'legend', Shane Rampling. St Albans Centurions U12's made their first bow of 2016, with a friendly game against local rivals Hemel Stags. The St Albans youngsters have made the step up from the ranks of the Minis to Juniors now that they have reached secondary school age. This change has seen a high turnover of players and as a result of the clubs recruitment drive, seen several new faces get involved, many of whom were playing their first game of rugby league. The match report can be found on the U12's Team Page. The structure of the rugby league in London and The South, offers no formal league for the u12s, and as a result their season will be made up of friendly games and festivals. The club are always on the lookout for new players, keen to give rugby league a try. Training for both U12 and U13's (school years 7 and 8) is on Thursdays at St Albans RFC, 6.15pm, for more info contact coach Gary Tetlow at [email protected] or mob. 07713472091 Update 26.04.16 Due to the fact that the majority of our players will be playing for three separate teams in three separate rugby union competition finals, we have had to pull out of this 9-A-Side tournament. To say we are disappointed is an understatement. The 2016 East Rugby League season will be opened with a 9-A-Side Tournament which will be held at Brentwood Eels ground on Saturday 30th April. Teams from every club in the East League Premier and First Division, including St Albans Centurions, are sending a team along to see who can claim the first silverware of 2016. Details will be passed on to players (and supporters) at training. Centurions U14's 38 -v- 28 Oxford Cavaliers
