The East RL's representative programme is set to be enhanced at the end of the 2017 season with a 4 week "Home Nations" tournament.
Players registered at East RL clubs will be able to chase their heritage back to grandparents in order to make themselves eligible for the tournament which will consist of England, Ireland, Scotland and Welsh teams. The tournament concept has received enthusiastic support from RFL competitions manager John McMullen who loves the idea. There are plenty of players in the East RL who were born in the other home nations and plenty more who would jump at the chance to chase their heritage in order to represent their country... even if it is at a regional level. Stay posted for more on this as the season progresses. Comments are closed.
