Players from our St Albans Centurions Masters team rubbed shoulders with some high end clubs when they made up a sizeable proportion of a 'Rest Of The World Xlll' when they played London Silverbacks Masters on Saturday. The game was played at London Skolars ground in between a Championship game (Toronto Wolfpack -v- Sheffield Eagles) and a League 1 game (London Skolars -v- Workington Town). After the game Cents Masters captain Mick O'Shea said "Thank you to everyone who turned out today to help make this game such a great match, from players to supporters. And a massive thanks to Stephen Lowrie for reffing. It was sometimes end to end stuff and sometimes close quarters but it was very enjoyable throughout. This day has expanded my horizons on what Masters teams are available in the South and I am keen to get more games organised for us with our new friends Aldershot Masters and Fleet Masters! Also Cheers to Chris Ashton and his Silverbacks for a very tight game, that ended, as is tradition, 0-0, and good luck with their upcoming tour of Canada." And as if that was not enough, Mick had a pre match chat with Toronto coach Brian McDermott (left) and gave him a few tips and pointers prior to their win over Sheffield. Comments are closed.
